Immigrants

We immigrants travelled to Britain, from all over the world
    Learnt English, word by word
Came for peace and prosperity, worked hard
In every industry planted seed of life, inch by inch, yard by yard

We immigrants travelled to Britain, from all over the world
We expected your hospitality, not your sword
We extended our hand with passion and international solidarity worldwide
We came here to sell our labour, to earn our living with pride

O’ politician, please don’t use us as an scape goat, in your political affair
Blaming us for recession or unemployment, is not fair
We have brought wealth of culture and labour, here and there
Do not call us terrorist; do not spread hate instead of love and care

We immigrants travelled to Britain, from all over the world
For peace, joy,   freedom, and harmony, here we are aboard
Distance your politics from racism and any discriminations
we made this land our home; we are British by any imaginations

The birds sing, the sun shines, the moon lights for all nations
So let's live in sound equality and all participations
Let relatives and friends join us, in joy, happiness and delight
Let’s share prosperity at every possible sight and site
